Research & Evidence
Research into breathwork and its potential therapeutic and psychological applications is expanding. At the same time, research into specific breathwork approaches is beginning to explore more closely how different methods may influence psychological processes, embodied experience and therapeutic change.
This website presents research in two complementary areas. Breathwork Research provides a broad overview of the emerging evidence base, including research into the psychological, physiological and therapeutic effects of breathwork and the questions that remain to be explored.
GRMT Research & Evidence focuses specifically on Guided Respiration Mindfulness Therapy, including research into GRMT training, clinical applications and outcomes, and the continuing development of the approach through research and professional collaboration.
